Privacy Policy
How SOSO — Super Fast VPN handles data, in plain language.
This Privacy Policy describes how BUHUR TECHNOLOGY ("SOSO", "we", "us"), based in Al Suwaiq, Sultanate of Oman, handles information in connection with the SOSO — Super Fast VPN application and this website. Our approach is simple: we designed the service so that we need almost nothing from you.
1. The short version
- The app requires no account, registration, email or login.
- During normal use of the VPN, we do not log any records related to you — no browsing activity and no connection records tied to your identity.
- The only data we ever receive is a connection-failure log that you actively choose to send by tapping the feedback button after a failed connection.
- The app is ad-supported; ads are served by third-party advertising networks under their own policies.
2. Information we do not collect
We do not collect, store or log: your browsing history, the websites you visit or apps you use through the VPN tunnel, or activity records associated with your identity. Because the app has no accounts, we hold no names, email addresses, passwords or payment details.
3. Connection-failure logs (user-initiated only)
If a VPN connection fails and you actively tap the feedback button, the app sends us the necessary technical log for that failed connection attempt. This is the only diagnostic data we receive, and:
- it is collected only when you choose to send it — never automatically;
- it is used solely by our engineers to improve VPN connection success rates;
- it is not shared with any individual or organization.
4. Messages you send us
If you contact us by email (help@sosoapps.com) or through in-app feedback, we receive the content of your message and use it to respond and to improve the service. Message delivery necessarily involves our email and support service providers, which is why the Google Play data-safety section notes that message data may be shared with third parties. We do not sell your messages or use them for advertising.
5. Advertising
The app is free because it displays advertising served by third-party ad networks (such as Google AdMob). When ads are shown, the ad network may process device information — such as advertising identifiers and general device characteristics — under its own privacy policy in order to serve and measure ads. This happens inside the app interface and is separate from your VPN traffic: ad networks do not see the content of your browsing through the tunnel.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization at any time in Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads). For details on how Google handles advertising data, see Google's Privacy Policy.
6. Security
Traffic between your device and our VPN servers is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols (IKEv2 and OpenVPN). We limit access to our infrastructure to authorized personnel only.
7. Data retention and deletion
Because we do not collect data during normal use, there is generally nothing to retain or delete. User-initiated failure logs are kept only as long as needed for engineering analysis. Support emails are retained as long as needed to handle your request. If you would like a support conversation deleted, email us at help@sosoapps.com and we will remove it.
8. Children
The app is rated 3+ on Google Play and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Given our minimal-data design, in most cases we simply hold nothing about you — but any request sent to help@sosoapps.com will be answered.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. Material changes to how the app handles data will also be reflected in the Google Play data-safety section.
